Welcome to Ty Hir, our rural holiday home in beautiful Brittany, France. Ty Hir means long house in Breton. Located in the peaceful countryside of central Finistère, this character vacation property is close the Parc d'Armorique and mystical Huelgoat. Within easy reach of the cottages are beaches, nature reserves, historic cities and towns, museums, châteaux and abbeys, moors, rivers, parish closes, boulder strewn forests, gardens, megaliths and much more. The accommodation is comprised of 2 independent adjoining buildings, the Grand Longère and the Petit Longère.
Click here to see more detailed information on our holiday lets. Ty Hir is a perfect getaway for couples, families and large groups. The villas can be booked separately or together to accommodate up to 11 people. Children are welcome in both cottages. We are motorbike and car club friendly and there is ample parking. The gîtes are south-facing and get the sun all day. Spend time relaxing in the large tranquil garden which surrounds the property. The garden is also perfect for children to play in with lots of room to roam. To the front and back of the properties you will find garden furniture and BBQs, perfect for meals al fresco. Both holiday homes feature exposed stonework and beams as well as wood burners, ideal for cosy evenings in front of the fire. We offer free WiFi access to the internet. Mountain bikes are available for guests to use free of charge and we provide local walking guides with maps. We are also dog friendly. Discounts with Brittany Ferries are available. |

River Ellez, a 5 minute walk from our gites near Huelgoat
Ideal for walking, cycling and mountain biking, the region is a nature lover's paradise. The river Ellez is a short stroll from the gîtes. Hiking trails can be found close by. For golfers there are 2 golf courses nearby.
Being on a migration route, Finistère is ideal for birdwatching. It is also great for wildlife watching and is home to a population of beavers.
Angling opportunities abound, including salmon and trout fishing. The Reservoir de St-Michel and the river Aulne are a short drive away.
There are plenty of activities in the area to keep children entertained and lots of beaches for them to enjoy. Geocaches are hidden all over Brittany.
